Tiny Cat

This tiny cat was made several years ago as a commission. The base the cat is standing on is approximately 3/4" (19mm) in diameter and holds a glass dome to cover and protect the sculpture. With the Glass Dome in place the sculpture stands about 3/4" or (19mm) tall as well.

The cat, grass, and butterflies are all hand sculpted out of colored porcelains and fired to 1200C. Details such as the pink in the cat's ears, his eyes and mouth and the details on the butterflies were then painted using china paints and fired.
